A week in!
So I am one week in with the healthy eating, and I am doing great! I have not wavered once. No treats, nothing. The sweetest thing I have is a can of lite peaches over a couple of breakfasts. I have been more active this past week than I have been in a while. I spend 6 hours outside on Sunday foam sword fighting and arching. Some of it was sitting around talking but I fought longer than I had ever done before. Yesterday, William and I went for a 20 min walk with I hope can be an on going thing because it felt great to get out and talk to him with no distractions. Tomorrow will be more fighting! I need to figure out something else to eat for breakfast and lunch so I do not get burnt out on what I eat. So far breakfast has been eggs with toast or peaches or oatmeal with peaches. Lunch I have a sandwich with reduced calorie bread and some fresh veggies. I take my lunch to work and do not have a microwave so I have little to work with. Any idea suggestions?

Day Two and the start of Three
Day 2 went great! Staying within my calorie and carb range and I do not feel like I am starving. I did get hungry yesterday and got some sunflower seeds. That fixed that problem right away. Today I will eat healthier than yesterday because my fiancée got me some carrots, celery, and radishes to take for lunch as a surprise. He is very encouraging in this. He doesn't care if I am thinner just that I am healthy.
We want to find a great workout we can do together at home. Does anyone have any suggestions? When ever I worked out I did yoga or belly dancing. I was thinking that we could do yoga but I don't know how he will feel about that.
Anyways, good luck to all you ladies out there getting healthier with me!

Day One of my new life.
What brought this on? A visit to the health department.
I went to the health department yesterday for a refill on b.c. and we had a discussion about my family's medical history. It is bad. My dad has a bad history or heart problems and is pre-diabetic and my grandmother on my mom's side is diabetic. I also have a condition called PCOS.
It causes me to be very over weight in the mid section of my body, higher levels of testosterone produced, and a few other issues. The main thing is that it causes my body to not process carbs right.
The nurse told me that I might have issues with my thyroid, have a chance of becoming diabetic, and having heart issues in my future. This scared me. One day William and I will be living on a farm and if I am way too over weight, diabetic I am not going to be very efficient. I may live a long time but the quality of life is going to suffer and who wants that? Not me.
I do not over eat, I eat the wrong things but that is because junk food (pasta) is the cheapest food and fastest food to make. I have an addiction to sweets. All of this has to go.
I have lost a lot of weight before. At my biggest I weighed 220 and now I am down to 182. I am 5'4 so that makes my BMI 32ish. That puts me at obese.
So enough with the facts now let's see how I am going to make this happen!
First and foremost, I have William to help me make the right decisions and cook healthy.
I am going to take my vitamins: Multi vitamins, cinnamon, chromium, B vitamins, and Co-Q10. Most of these will help my body process carbs easier.
I am going to cut out the bad carbs and bad fats. Basically change the food I eat. We are going to grow some of our veggies so we cannot use money as a factor for that.
I am going to work out. I almost put more but I don't work out at all. Starting tonight I am going out to the park and participate in Dagorhir http://www.dagorhir.com/ I plan on doing some arching!
I am going to blog about it and put it out there so I can get support!
Thanks for reading!
